Do greyhounds cuddle?

Do Greyhounds Cuddle?

Yes, greyhounds can cuddle and enjoy spending quality time with their owners. They are affectionate dogs that love to be around people and enjoy being petted and snuggled.

But as every person has a different personality, every greyhound has a different preference and boundaries. Let me share my experience with greyhound cuddling.

My greyhound girl Peggy is independent and she loves her own space. She does come up to our bed or couch for a cuddle, only a few times a month.

When I first adopted her, I used to take it a bit personally and got disappointed a few times because she was not as cuddly as I expected her to be.

But soon I realised that she has her boundaries and enjoys her own space. I respect that and now I adore her independent personality!

But when it comes to my boy Jedi, it’s the opposite. He is definitely more cuddly than Peggy and needs more attention and pat from me. He would come up to me and cuddle with me on the couch all the time. Especially when it’s cold in winter!

So I enjoy giving lots of attention and cuddles to him, while my girl Peggy enjoys her own space on her own bed.

So yes, it depends but you don’t need to take it personally if your greyhounds are not that cuddle. You just need to respect their boundaries and personalities.
